CAVE ETIQUETTE

The fragile natural balance in the underworld can be destroyed by even the briefest interference – for example the flash of photography (which accelerates the growth of algae). For this reason visitors must follow the rules imposed by the visit organisers. These rules are also designed for visitors' safety. The most important rules are the following:

1. Visitors must follow the instructions of staff at all times.

2. During the train ride do not stand up or lean out. Do not board the train when in motion.

3. Do not leave the marked paths. Visitors must stay in the group and with their guide.

4. Do not touch or damage in any way the stalagmites/stalactites/calcite formations.

5. Do not leave litter in the cave.

6. Taking photographs is strictly forbidden.

7. Smoking in the cave is strictly forbidden.

8. Do not bring food into the cave.
