Wedding at Predjama Castle

A wedding day is a turning-point not only in the lives of the young couple but also for the two families, who now become relatives, their friends, and the other guests. A wedding day should be spent in a special, chosen place, and in a manner that will leave an indelible memory in the minds of all present.

Predjama Castle and the Jamski Dvorec mansion at Postojna Cave, both of which are managed by Postojnska jama, turizem, d.d., are a unique environment for formal events and ceremonies. The isolated castle in its high cliff, with its historical furnishings and fairytale atmosphere, is the ideal place to begin a celebration which can end in unforgettable style with a wedding banquet or an evening celebration in the pleasant intimacy of the rooms of Jamski Dvorec. These rooms can hold 24 (the 'Venecijanka' room), 65 (the Zmajev Hram restaurant) or even 200 (the Great Hall) guests. 

In the case of wedding celebrations, we are happy to adapt to your plans. We can also help organise the event.

We can provide a hot and cold buffet, or a buffet combined with traditional service. We offer a rich selection of dishes from Slovenia, Provence, Tuscany and even Hawaii.

We can also provide, on request:
• music for dancing and animateurs,
• table decorations and flower arrangements,
• accommodation for wedding guests at the Hotel Jama,
• photographs in Predjama Castle, Postojna Cave and the park outside the cave.

If you prefer a celebration with a medieval atmosphere, we will see to the decoration of the premises and will prepare a medieval banquet at which you will be served by staff in costumes in the spirit of the Middle Ages. We can also prepare a special Castle Menu for the occasion.

Predjama Castle and Jamski Dvorec in Postojna can also be used for wedding celebrations. The intimate atmosphere and historic surroundings, combined with exquisite cuisine, make them very popular with guests. These events can be lent a special charm by a medieval wedding banquet served in a traditional manner by our staff.
