Paths across the continent

European Footpath E6 runs through Lož Valley and past Snežnik. This footpath links the Baltic to the Adriatic. In Slovenia it runs from the Austrian border in the north to the Bay of Piran.

The Dormouse Museum

In the dairy adjacent to Snežnik castle, visitors can visit the dormouse collection, consisting of carefully selected items relating to dormouse hunting – including a large number of traps. The collection is managed by the Notranjska Museum in Postojna and was assembled through the efforts of the Javornik Dormouse Society.
